A media reflection

I have a friend who says that he only reads newspapers that are at least three days old.  That way he already knows how most of the unpleasant things have turned out.

Some people have suggested that the reason that the media is full of unpleasant information is that our nation and world in general have become more unpleasant.  However, the Justice Department reports that both Property Crime and Violent crime is lower now than it was in 1973.  Since the 1990s crime has been going down.

So why does it seem like the media reports on more and more negative things?

Can that change and if so, what will it take?

Should we once again just  blame the politicians for this one?

  • If you believe everything the government tells you then I have some swamp land for sale for you to buy. It has been done before and will be done again. I know I have worked around and in govermnment industry, sometimes things are inflated to make someone look good.

  • RealAmericanBiker, sure the Justice Department just made up those statistics, and everything else that you disagree with is just part of an Obama conspiracy.  LOL

  • Poor poor shadows doesnt like it when others show how wrong he is. The justice dept can and has made up things before and what says their figures are correct.  But I can and will forgive you shadows for I know you only want to impress others by making them think you have half a brain and since you are just drunk on the kool-aid you will believe everything that Obama and the government tell you.

  • RealAmericanBiker, your lack of math skills is glaring.  One murder in Orlando will not significantly change the U.S. annual crime rate.

BTW, I didn't "make-up" the facts.  Those statistics were taken from the Justice Department as I previously stated........are you also having some reading problems?

No need to respond anymore unless you can actually produce data that will dispute the statistics of the U.S. Justice Department.  And if you can, I would suggest again that you contact them directly to let them know of their errors.

  • As crime has gone down we had another shooting, this time here in Orlando.

The dumbocraps can make up anything you want to believe shadows but that doesnt mean I have to believe theirs and your lies and BS. Obviously you cant be man enough to admit you can be wromg or your made up facts arent true.
