We have Hindu's,Palestinians,and from India. One section of my town is successfully owned by Mexicans. As you say,the others work in convenience stores and more likely own these stores. Our closest smaller store owner is from India. He owns a trailer park behind his store. He's been at that spot for many years and is a real nice friendly guy...who learned English a long time ago.

But,Rott,I know where you are coming from. If each family doesn't have its own plans at the ready then I think that's being a little naive. For years my husband has looked ahead and practiced what he preached. Without going into detail,any one who listens to the Bible in its' entirety and if you learn economics then by these two subjects you are bond to have picked up so many other subjects...things we need to always be aware of.

We read earlier this year of the Florida couple who unknown to their 8 assailants had surveillance inside and outside their home. The couple was killed,the children were not but the law has those surveillance tapes when this goes to court. The murders are all on tape.

So now I'm speaking of not those from other countries but witin our own country. Recently across the street about 2 am we heard more than one person yelling and in the yard of the house we had owned but sold recently. The house is enclosed with gates all around so we knew of one entrance well upabove the house that they could get through with an ATV. We knew no one was home even tho this house is a weekend home for this family only they had not been there this weekend. The intruders were tearing the yards and driveway up by the sound of it. We called 911. Two deputies responded to our house. We heard the ATV tearing up the driveway behind that house which goes up pretty high and tops off at a ridge. No use going into that the deputies stood there and talked without ever going to check that out till later. You cannot find unruly people always by driving around in 2 cop cars without once getting out of their cars and even look at what kind of tracks were left. No,this one deputy noticed the security cameras we had on and around our house plus other security stuff plus two gates for 2 of our driveways. One cop says "ya'll must be scared to have all this security and surveillance monitors." I was afraid my husband might just hit that cop at the cop's tone also. I hurriedly told the cop you get robbed a couple of times and every thing was not insured and you will get some surveillance around you too. Plus we even had one year as we worked in town and down in Atlanta so they knew our schedules that  we found each day as we went out to pick a tomato or two,banana peppers,etc. that what should have been ripe was not. It took 3 days for us to figure they were coming into our garden EACH day! Then when our Irish potatoes would have been ready to gather up,we dug and out of 50 lbs of potatoes we had sowed the thieves left us not even one potato. To steal from a person's garden. If we knew somebody had been that hungry we would gladly have given them of our garden. The cop didn't throw any more sarcastic remarks after that.

BTW,my husband gave those cops the key to the neighbor's gate so as to check it out. Here come the cops back for my husband...they could not open a simple cattle guard gate even with the key! I am so glad to know that most of the law is not like this main one especially.
