dks75, 5 months ago | FlagYeah Ive seen that letter LOL..
As far as the geos go they are either Toyota, Isuzu, or Suzuki.. Even the Colorado is based of a foreign chassis. The gto/g8 is based off the Opel chassis which Chinese and Russians have a good share of. GM even re-badges daewoo's..
IMO GM is the worst at re-badging . They are selling us foreign cars calling them domestic!!
Cro like the Canadian built Chrysler's
with Mexican motors LOL .. The camaro is built in Canada also now. American muscle at it's finest. At least the challenger is being built at an extension of a former AMC plant :)
Native_Floridian2, 5 months ago | FlagAnyone get a "CHRYSLER(
GM) LOYALTY" letter in the mail recently? I or I should say my wife got one and I'm the one that bought the GM, go figure. Anyway it came with a $1,000 voucher if she'd buy a new Chrysler/G M vehicle and then there was the fine print that stated only good for these vehicles and there were about 5 listed, but the MAJORITY of the vehicles were listed under the NOT GOOD FOR THESE vehicle, where about 10-15 vehicles were listed, PT Cruiser and the majority of their high end or sporty type vehicles.
You'd think if a company is selling everything
and going bankrupt they #1. wouldn't offer such vouchers or #2, if they did, it sure wouldn't exclude the high priced vehicles! Now just how dumb is that?
Native_Floridian2, 5 months ago | FlagWal-mart should have bouht GM. I mean really if they replaced them as the biggest company in the world, we could all buy a cheapo car from Wal-Mart right? No, I don't think so. A lot of Wal-Mart products are, dare i say it, worse junk than others. There ARE a few things I buy from Wal-Mart, but I doubt seriously I'd buy a "Wal-Mart"
branded car, would you?
A former member , 5 months ago | FlagI don't buy American nothing!!!
G.M. made the G.E.O. line of cars and light S.U.V.'s.. .. Stamped on the transmissi on of the G.E.O. tracker is ("OLNY GOOD FOR 80,000 MILES") so that sums up the American exsperianc e!!!!! There isn't too many American cars that go over 200,000 miles on the same transmissi on and engine!!!! ! Either one or the other gets re-placed around 100,000 miles!!!! I especialy wouldn't buy a Government Motors(G.M .) car being that Obammie is their new C.E.O. he has enough hands in my pockets!!! !! Have a great day!!!
abunai, 5 months ago | FlagOh I know! I had a Navy LT once tell me to be a partiot and buy American, and he cited the example of his Ford Ranger. We went out to look at his new truck, and when he opened the hood, I snapped off the covers for the fuse box and electronic
s, showing him all the Japanese parts!! So, let me just clear up my position..
.. My next vehicle will come from a NON UNION shop! Just as I shop at Walmart and NOT Target or Super KMart for the same reason!
abunai, 5 months ago | FlagYEP!! Obama has just cost GM (and soon Chrystler)
ANY notion of buying their products after he tried to use MY TAX DOLLARS for a hostile takeover! THANK GOD even a liberal hack supreme court judge put the brakes on the Chrystler deal after even she couldn't ignore the unconstitu tional practices that the Obama (actually Clinton administra tion) has tried. My next vehicle will likely be a Lexis, Toyota, or MAYBE a FORD! But FORD stands to get the partiotic purchase, but I still have a hard time with that becasuse I will do EVERYTHING
I can in life to ensure not a penny of my money goes to a union! People can say whatever they want, but the unions were the arrogant ones in all of this, and the connection
to them and the liberals, and Democrat support, killed it for them.
