Another new study out today talking about changes in when you should start getting a pap smear and how often. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists now says women in their 20's can have a pap smear every two years instead of annually to catch slow-growing cervical cancer.
The change comes days after another debate on when women should start getting mammograms. A new study says women should start mammograms when they turn 50.. not 40.
And, of course, the two recommendations come at a time of intense debate over health-care reform.
So what say you about all this? Is there a connection between the studies and the health care debate?
And will you change the way you are screened for breast and cervical cancer based on these new studies?

In the news lately have been illegal immigration rates, a raid on guitar maker Gibson's plant, and the never ending saga of the Delta Smelt.
"According to news reports, illegal immigration arrests are down 50% under directive of the Obama administration.
The figures show that Mr. Obama has made good on his pledge to shift enforcement away from going after illegal immigrant workers themselves - but at the expense of Americans' jobs, said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the Republican who compiled the numbers from the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE).
Mr. Smith, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said a period of economic turmoil is the wrong time to be cutting enforcement and letting illegal immigrants take jobs that Americans otherwise would hold." -Washinton Times
Meanwhile, the US Fish and Wildlife Service (not our fish or wildlife, but Madagascar and Brazil's) had time to serve warrants on Nashville based Gibson Guitars.
"Agents of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service made a midday appearance and served a search warrant on company officials at Gibson's Massman Drive manufacturing plant, where it makes acoustic and electric guitars.
Gibson issued a statement saying it is "fully cooperating with agents of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as it pertains to an issue with harvested wood." The company said it did nothing wrong." -The Tennessean
And on the west coast, the Central Valley, a supplier of much of our produce is dry, unemployed (Fresno reports unemployment upwards of 50%) because the same agency is concerned about the Delta Smelt, an alledged "endangered" species of fish.
Now, come on people, where is the sense in all of this? We have eased off border enforcement, that not only effects our national security, but also employment at a time the legal American citizens are looking for work, and not mention that these illegals are masters of freeloading off our tax dollars.
Then we turn around and waste money trying bust a major Nashville business over suspicion of using rainforest trees. And even more upsetting, the Central Valley issue has been going on for some time, with pleas the Puppet in Chief to issue order to turn on the spiggot before all is lost in this once fertile growing region (to no avail). Did it ever occur to these government idiots to catch a few hundred of these fish and relocate them or put them in an aquarium?
How stupid are we going to let things get? Just wondering!
ROY KRONKS EX WIFE INTERVIEW FROM 13 NEWS
She already has MAJOR holes in her story..
WE already knew Kronk's hx of abuse.. That is shameful and disgusting if true.. BUT she will NOT hold up in court regarding her words about use of Duct Tape on her body by Roy Kronk.
Here's Why:
On the interview that channel 13 news has of her,
Key point
She states: at 98.07 in the Interview that Roy Kronk used Duct Tape on her "ONE" time and that was in key west.
Later in the Interview after the Interviewer brings up the Duct Tape again and asks how many times Roy duct Taped her, she now says 2 times, she later states that he Duct Taped her 2 Times and both of those times we're in Key west.
When she now changes her story too 2 times instead of 1 time, she is searching with her eyes looking around, she is different now.. The Interviewer doesn't even ask her about the Alledgeded "second" time of her being Duct Taped.
Interviewers/Investigators are smart.. He is for Defense, he didn't want to ask more detail about alledged 2 time now.. Why? Becuase he knew she added it to her story?Becuase she was going to say he put it over her mouth now too?? We'll find out later.. I am sure of it..
Also Key point is at 352.88
In her Interview she states:she thought she saw him ( Roy) in Knoxville..
Then her Mother said:Your "Imagining Things"
he was 2 hours away..
*********************************'
The State is going to Rip this Woman apart..Gently.. but they will Rip here apart as she has now become involved in this case.
The States attys will use the fact that her own mother has stated she has ""Imagined Things" and that will be "HUGE" in court against her words.
And How she said in this Interview she was Duct Taped one Time, and describes it then later adds a 'Second Incident" only...after being lead by the Interviewer..
his abusive past is disgusting.. and inexcusable......( if true)
all the above is in my opinion
Want to buy an automobile from a car auction in Washington State? Well, you are not the only one. There are many folks like you searching online for terms like "how to buy a sedan from car auction in Washington" and "where to find cheap car auctions in Washington State". Here are some answers to these questions.
There are different car auctions you can participate in Washington State. No, we are not referring to the private auctions where only licensed dealers are invited. We are talking about public auto auctions that everyone can participate in. Many of them are free but some require a small entrance fee.
The public auctions are held to sell off cars from the government agencies like DEA, FBI, IRS and the police departments. Banks and financial lenders too hold public auctions. Sometimes, these auctions are handled by private auction companies on their behalf. Vehicles sold are either seized from criminals, tax defaulters, or even pre-owned by the government agencies.
All vehicles are sold at huge discounts, sometimes as low as $200 to $300. We are not talking about trash cans here but cars in excellent working condition. Some are BMWs, Mercedes, and your occasional sports cars. Needless to say, competition is hot for these and prices can skyrocket if there are many bids.
Here are some tips that can help you get a great car deal at a car auction in Washington State.
1. Search the newspapers both printed and online for news of the latest auctions. Search the advertisement and classified ads of The Daily World, Anacortes America, Centralia Chronicle and other newspapers. Go for smaller publications as well since some smaller and little known auctions could be advertised there.
2. Go to small and hardly advertised auctions. Though the number of vehicles sold are fewer, very often, few people know about these and the competition is low, so are the prices!
3. Call the government agencies and banks directly. Ask them when they are holding a car auction in Washington State.
4. Be early and one of the first at the auctions. This is so that you can view the cars and inspect them first.
5. Bring along someone who is good at car inspection. It can be a good friend of yours or a qualified auto technician.
One last golden tip that can save you tons of time, frustration and efforts - use an online car auction search engine. For a very low fee, you can instantly find all the auto auctions taking place at the moment or sometime in the near future.

There are so many reasons why a lot of people want to go through Washington State public records. It is a sad fact that crime rate in the United States of America has indeed risen over the years. And this is precisely why it becomes an imperative for people to go through these public records, not just for their own safety as well as that of their loved ones, but also for the safety of their very businesses and organizations. Many people feel a bit wary about looking into a person's criminal background simply because it implies a certain probe into someone's privacy. However, we all have that inherent right to do such a thing, especially when it comes to hiring employees. And this is not limited to just the hiring process at all! Here are some situations that make going through Washington State public records the ideal thing to do.
No.1 Changes made in childcare provision
It is quite common for day care providers to move from one city of Washington State to another, so there are constant changes made here. We all have heard so many disturbing news stories about childcare facilities dealing with molestation allegations. As parents, this is more than enough reason to browse through the publicly-accessible database of private individuals. After all, you are entrusting your child to the care of a total stranger. Even if that childcare provider is employed under a facility you have come to trust, you should still go through Washington State public records for this.
No.2 Renting or leasing property
Property is at stake here. No landlord can say for sure that he or she knows just about everything regarding tenants. There will always be some surprises along the way. To ensure the pleasantry of these surprises, it comes as a must to scrutinize your potential tenant before handing him or her over the contract. After all, it is your property that is placed at risk here. Why would you want to allow a criminal to rent your apartment or your commercial building, right? Truth be told, you might even be dubbed as an accessory here, if the situation worsens. Harboring a fugitive is indeed dangerous, which is all the more reason why you should look into Washington State public records.
No.3 Dating new people
Online dating has become massive these days, and we all know that the information people share online are not necessarily true. Even if your dating site is a reliable and safe one, you should still exercise your own measures to ensure your safety. Do not feel guilty about pulling a background check on your potential date. Go ahead and conduct your own search through Washington State public records, to make sure your prospect is indeed someone you can trust.
Run your free public records search now to find records like birth and death, marriage and divorce filings, criminal law, county public records, phone number, address and more.

Researchers are working with the venom from Snakes, Toads, Scorpions, and Sea Snails for curing cancer and other illnesses!
SNAKES
The poisonous venom of snakes and toads may provide a possible cure for cancer, according to a new research. The scientists are now trying to single out the proteins in the venom that have anti-cancer properties and inhibit the growth of malignant cells.
Snake venom is a complex mixture of several toxic proteins and enzymes. These proteins not only inflict death to human beings, but can also be used for the treatment of cancer and many other diseases.
The study published in the Journal of Ethnophamacology gives an overview of various snake venom components that have prospects in health and diseases. Not only does the snake protein thwart the spread of new tumors throughout the body, it also stops the growth of existing tumors by inhibiting the formation of blood vessels that feed them.
Researchers from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles reported isolated and purified the copperhead snake venom protein, which they named contortrostatin. In initial experiments, contortrostatin hindered the growth and metastasis of several different human tumors implanted in mice, including breast, ovarian and brain tumors.
TOADS
Huachansu, a Chinese medicine that comes from the dried venom secreted by the skin glands of toads, has tolerable toxicity levels, even at doses eight times those normally administered, and may slow disease progression in some cancer patients, say researchers from The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Studying traditional Chinese medicine such as Huachansu is new to American research institutions, which have been skeptical and slow to adopt these complementary treatments. However, it is important to understand its potential role in treating cancer.
SCORPIONS
Brain surgeons at two major medical centers—City of Hope in Los Angeles and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) —will soon begin treating patients suffering from glioma, one of the most deadly forms of brain cancer, with an investigational new drug called 131I-TM-601, being developed by TransMolecular, Inc., a Birmingham-Ala.-based neuroscience biotechnology company.
In pre-clinical studies, TransMolecular scientists determined that 131I-TM-601 was able to extend survival in a mouse model that mimicked human brain tumors. TM-601, based on chlorotoxin sequences, has been shown to be non-toxic in animal studies.
SEA SNAIL
A synthetic form of sea snail venom can ease pain in cancer and AIDS victims who get no relief from morphine or other conventional painkillers, a study found. Laboratory research has found evidence that the venom that the snails inject to immobilize their prey might have beneficial effects on some heart problems, strokes, central nervous system disorders and other ills.
The snail-venom research involved 111 patients ages 24 to 85 in the United States, Australia and the Netherlands. The latest study involved the experimental drug ziconotide, a laboratory-made equivalent of a compound in the venom of the small Conus Magus cone snail, which lives in shallow tropical saltwater.
The infusions produced significant relief in patients whose pain did not respond to more conventional drugs such as morphine.

A mother gave an officer permission to taser her 10-year-old. Officers say the little girl was out of control. Should tasers be used on children, especially if they are not armed?
This is the time of year I wait for. I enjoy my family and friends. The joy the season brings me is wonderful. What is it you like about this time of year?
This is dedicated to the family of, five year old, Shaniya Davis who lost her life in an unspeakable tragedy near Stanford, North Carolina. Her family has been in the news sharing their sorrow at vigils and through interviews, shining the light of a little girl who brought them so much joy. I pray that God give them the strength to go on knowing there is a God who sees everything and who never forgets. May He bring justice to this mourning family and bless their hearts with joy knowing that she is in His hands, now; and it won't be long before they see her again.

God Bless Mr. Davis and His Loving Family

This is actually the title of a story in the October 2009 issue of The Nation, written by William Baker. What bugs me about this story is Baker claims we Americans spend less than other democratic countries for public broadcasting. He used England and Canada, and Japan etc as examples of spending. But what he didn't include in his story was how much more people in those countries pay in taxes. So he wants to raise taxes to support artists and musicians? Obviously this guy is a true Obamaphite. When he spoke NPR he didn't say one iota on how much royalties they got from the movie "A Prairie Home Companion", and I would expect nothing less from those other socialist democracies than to have public broadcasting employees to sign away copyright rights, something our government probably doesn't do. Then Baker went on to suggest we would not be using the public broadcast services for any propaganda. I immediatley remember a NPR comedy skit where they did a Bush vs Obama insult type humor scene. All the jokes on Bush were cutting and of course the Obama jokes were light. Now isn't that what we call sublime ? But not sublime enough to go without being noticed!
I wonder if anyone has told Levi Johnson that the majority of subscribers to Playgirl magazine are Gay Men? Ha Ha Ha !

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, a panel of independent experts, released revamped recommendations this week, including advice that women in their 40s should not have routine mammograms because there is no evidence they improve survival in that age group.
Meanwhile, some U.S. cancer experts and patient advocacy groups are questioning the new guidelines and predict the reduction in routine mammograms among those 40 to 49 will lead to more deaths from breast cancer. The U.S. task force also recommended against routine breast self-examination, saying there is no definitive proof that the practice reduces breast cancer mortality.
Considering this news, how will you handle your mammograms in the future?
Well America, here is a small preview of Obamacare..........No breast cancer screening until you are 50, and even then, only once every 2 years......... There will be more new "scientific breakthroughs", and "new studies" like this comming....The motive for this crap is simple.......change the giudelines or "recomendations" NOW, BEFORE OBAMACARE, SO THEY CAN SAY........SEE, IT WAS NOT OBAMACARE THAT KILLED YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, THE GUIDELINES CHANGED BEFORE IT STARTED..........
IS THIS NOT ONE OF THE BIGGER LOADS OF CRAP TO COME FROM DUMBO EARS AND COMPANY? If he is talking....he's lying...........kind of scary to me.......
It is quite shameful, what these people in DC are doing; do they really think "we the people" are that stupid?.....and we can't see through the crap and decifer the real truth?
I find it amazing that the administration can "persuade" such a large number of people to "engage in misinformation" about so many things. What should be done with these fib-tellers after we KICK THIS IDIOT TO THE CURB? I think they should face some kind of consequence for their action, don't you?...after all we ALL have the right to freedom of speech or freedom of silence, right?

G. Edward DeSeve, the man running President Obama's economic recovery effort has a post up today on Recovery.gov that deserves a place in the Out-of-Touch Government Officials Hall of Fame.
DeSeve might as well have said "nothing to look at here, folks, now move along." Or perhaps "hey, it's close enough for government work, so what's the problem?"
As anybody who knows elementary statistics can attest, putting in one piece of bad data can render an entire database useless, or worse, produce analytical results that bear absolutely no relation to reality.
DeSeve also claims some of the mistakes are "frustrating typos and coding errors that don't undermine information at the heart of the data." But when hundreds of frustrating typos and coding errors" are found in a database, competent database analysts and statisticians know you go back to the original source, correct the errors, and then start doing analysis and drawing conclusions.
DeSeve and his bosses in the White House want us to just ignore such data-entry problems and accept the Obama administration's fairy tale conclusions about what the data tell us regarding the success of the stimulus program.
Third, DeSeve claims that having so many errors is okay because "transparency is going to be messy but it is better than the alternative." That's like telling the cancer patient that your surgeon today didn't finish med school but, hey, letting him cut you open is better than the alternative, which is dying.
The reality DeSeve is trying to avoid coming to grips with is that, for whatever reason and regardless of who is at fault, the data being produced by his shop is worthless as indicators of the value of the Obama administration's economic stimulus program. It is incredible that he would even attempt to argue to the contrary after multiple mainstream media organizations dug into the numbers and found seemingly endless examples of mis-counting, mis-representation, and outright fraudulent claims.
Such as here, here, here, and here. And that's just a sample of what's been found so far by mainstream media journalists, bloggers, and investigative journalism outfits. If President Obama is genuinely interested in restoring honesty in government and public trust in its statements, he will fire DeSeve, shut down recovery.gov., and apologize to the American people for allowing this farce to go on as long as it has.
By the way, if you want accurate data about the stimulus program, check out recovery.org, which is maintained by Onvia, a private company that specializes in tracking government data, funding, contracts, etc.
**I hate to be the bearer of bad news for this joker - but things are not improving - getting worse perhaps but, not improving. Not sure which universe he lives in, or which time dimension, but not this one! Also I wonder what his goal might be that he considers improved.
Remember those $400.00 and $800.00 tax credits Barack Obama gave you in his stimulus plan? And remember that $250.00 gift he gave social security recipients?
Well, Obama decided he wants them back. Yep. According to the IRS, Obama has never asked for an adjustment of the tax tables, so millions of Americans are going to get taxed for having received the tax credits back in February — typically through adjustments the federal government demanded businesses make in employees’ withholdings.
“While implementing a credit through reduced withholding is an effective way to provide economic stimulus evenly throughout the year, it is difficult to account for everyone’s circumstances,” said J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. “More than 10 percent of all taxpayers who file individual tax returns for 2009 could owe additional taxes.”
The tax credit is also available for 2010. Russell said the problems will continue in 2010 if they are not resolved
WASHINGTON — More than 15 million taxpayers could unexpectedly owe taxes when they file their federal returns next spring because the government was too generous with their new Making Work Pay tax credit.
Taxpayers are at risk if they have more than one job, are married and both spouses work, or receive Social Security benefits while also earning taxable wages, according to a report Monday by the Treasury Department's inspector general for tax administration.
The tax credit, which is supposed to pay individuals up to $400 and couples up to $800, was President Barack Obama's signature tax break in the massive stimulus package enacted in February.
Most workers started receiving the credit through small increases in their paychecks in April. The tax credit was made available through new withholding tables issued by the Internal Revenue Service.
The withholding tables, however do not take into account taxpayers with multiple jobs or married couples in which both people work. They also don't take into account Social Security recipients with jobs that provided taxable income.
The Social Security Administration sent out $250 payments to more than 50 million retirees in the spring as part of the economic stimulus package. The payments were meant to provide a boost for people who didn't' qualify for the tax credit.
However, they went to many retirees who also received the credit. Those retirees will have the $250 payment deducted from their tax credit — but not until they file their tax returns next year, long after the money may have been spent.
"While implementing a credit through reduced withholding is an effective way to provide economic stimulus evenly throughout the year, it is difficult to account for everyone's circumstances," said J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. "More than 10 percent of all taxpayers who file individual tax returns for 2009 could owe additional taxes."
The tax credit is also available for 2010. Russell said the problems will continue in 2010 if they are not resolved.
The credit pays workers 6.2 percent of their earned income, up to a maximum of $400 for individuals and $800 for married couples who file jointly. Individuals making more than $95,000 and couples making more than $190,000 are ineligible.
"Making Work Pay was designed to deliver much needed boosts to the paychecks of 95 percent of all working Americans," said Nayyera Haq, a Treasury Department spokeswoman. "Since enactment, more than 110 million families have benefited from as much as $60 in additional take home pay each month to put toward their family budgets, serving as a steady boost to spending and consumption."
For many, the new tax tables will simply mean smaller-than-expected tax refunds next year. The average tax refund this year was about $2,800.
The IRS, in a response to the audit, advised taxpayers to check their withholding throughout the year to make sure they don't get hit with an unexpected tax bill.
"The withholding system must approximate the tax liability of tens of millions of Americans, and therefore, cannot be tailored precisely to fit every individual situation," Richard Byrd Jr., commissioner of the IRS' wage and investments division, wrote in the agency's response to the report.
(This version CORRECTS Corrects average refund amount to $2,800 sted $3,000; UPDATES with administration response. Moving on general news and financial services.)
