• Forefathers Blind Spot

    The Constitution, when it was set up, was a beautiful thing.  They divided up the power between the house, the senate and the president.  This was so that no one party had too much power.  It was also to ensure that the Constitution was upheld.  The blind spot is...what happens when the checks and balances are gone?  When the whole government becomes corrupt?  Just by Obama saying the Constitution is an outdated document could be considered words of treason.  It is quite clear where he is headed.  He is doing a total take over of this countries finances.  He is taking over major companies and now health care.  The government is setting itself up with too much power.  All of the acts could be looked at as treason.  But there is no one left in the government itself to stand up against them.  So where do we go from here? That is why the 2nd amendment was put in place.  I hope to God it gets better.  I hope, maybe, somewhere left in our government are some honest people who will step forward and enforce our Constitution.  Only time will tell.  America may be lost forever.

    As we approach the final sprint on health reform, we can't afford more deception and delay. We need to be ready for anything -- and have the resources to respond with ads, events, and calls to Congress when the attacks come.

    Saturday night in a 60-39 vote, the Senate voted to move forward with it's version of the Historic health care bill. The legislation would require most Americans to carry insurance and provide subsidies to those who couldn't afford it. Congressional budget analysts put the legislation's cost at $979 billion over a decade and said it would reduce deficits over the same period while extending coverage to 94 percent of the eligible population.     On November 20th marked a year since my friend, a very special woman, which we met on the blogs a year earlier passed away. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN A YEAR since she's left this EARTH................there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about YBSRobin and her family. I pray that they are doing well.  I know YBSRobin is with OUR LORD AND IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE.........but with all the memories left behind, I laughed, I cried as I read so many of our blogs. In the next few days in her MEMORY I will repost the ones that were fun.....

    I will share part of my last communications with YBSRobin.......AND THESE THOUGHTS which she left for me.....WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MY HEART........

    I MISSED YOU.........YOU WERE THE BEST...........we spoke each night and some days............we laughed and cried..............we blog and blog..........and that's was alot of fun.     CAPE CORAL, Fla -- A local post office employee is off the job and under arrest. Investigators say she's been going through people's mail and stealing gift cards.
    
    The postal inspector's office has charged the letter carrier with mail theft. At this point they are refusing to tell us the suspect's name or which Cape Coral post office she worked at.
    
    "Anyone who still puts money in an envelope is probably taking a chance," said postal customer Steven Berkowitz. "But a gift card, I find that crazy."
    
    Postal inspectors say they found several gift cards when they arrested this woman. They are now trying to determine how to send the cards back to their rightful owners.
    
    The US Postal Service says it has suspended the letter carrier without pay while it investigates what happened.

    I think they, the liberal politicians, forgot about Lefty and Shadows beer farts. All that hot air and beer farts has to impact global warming. Time to tax Lefty and Shadows to save our planet.     When this indirect effect of the potent greenhouse gas is included one tonne of methane has about 33 times as much effect on the climate over 100 years as a ton of carbon dioxide, rather than 25 times as in standard estimates

    But wait, there's more. Sulphate molecules, produced when sulphur dioxide is oxidised in the atmosphere, have a cooling effect on the climate as they reflect heat but, while their direct effects are included in climate models, their indirect effects in combination with methane and other gases are not.
    
    Methane and carbon monoxide reduce levels of sulphate aerosols, because they use up oxidants such as hydroxyl in the atmosphere. Fewer oxidant molecules are thus available to oxidise sulphur dioxide to produce sulphate.
    
    All that "low sulfur" fuel we pay extra to refine and produce is actually hurting the effort to combat global warming, by reducing available sulfur dioxides for sulphate reaction.
    
    I ask you, is there anywhere else on the planet other than the USA where there are brain surgeon politicians who allow you to pay extra for the privilege of "harming" the planet and being a pawn of the Dark Lord of Global Warming all in one shot? I think not.

• Mexican Boycott-Epic Fail

    Subject: Boycott Makes a Difference In Victoria, Texas

    Victoria, Texas (Population 55,000) is a town about 80 miles west of Houston. It apprears the Mexican's planned to hurt the economy of this Texas town and it back fired on them. Business leaders actually saw some very beneficial results. 
    
    Local Hispanic leaders there, in opposition to impending immigration legislation, boycotted all Caucasian owned businesses in the Victoria area as a demonstration of their economic impact on the community. The boycott was declared a success by the Hispanic community, noting that revenue in Caucasian owned businesses was down by 19%.
    
    Business owners declared the boycott a success as well, pointing out that shoplifting was reduced by 77%, money orders sent out of the country were down by 97%, and the cost of daily clean-up and trash collection was down by 84%. Shoppers reported that they could actually hear English being spoken throughout the community for the first time in recent memory, and customers actually paid for purchases with real money, not government issued debit cards.

• Pap smear changes, too?

    Another new study out today talking about changes in when you should start getting a pap smear and how often.  The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists now says women in their 20's can have a pap smear every two years instead of annually to catch slow-growing cervical cancer.

    The change comes days after another debate on when women should start getting mammograms.  A new study says women should start mammograms when they turn 50.. not 40.

    And, of course, the two recommendations come at a time of intense debate over health-care reform.

    So what say you about all this?  Is there a connection between the studies and the health care debate? 

    And will you change the way you are screened for breast and cervical cancer based on these new studies?
